Growth performance of male broilers fed ExPress® soybean meal and high-shear dry extruded corn

چکیده
Soybean meal ( SBM ), a co-product of soybean oil obtained via solvent or mechanical extrusion, is the key protein source in broiler diet formulations. Mechanical high-temperature processing with high-shear dry has demonstrated 1 to 2% increased amino acid digestibility broilers versus solvent-extracted through reduction antinutritional factors ANF ). High-shear extrusion followed by pressing using screw press (extruding-pressing) produces soy and partially de-oiled soymeal (ExPress). The extruding-pressing process been growing popularity due improved cost material efficiency eliminating need for solvents steam dryers production animal feed ingredients. Corn likewise linked nutritive value palatability approximately 20% starch gelatinization, resulting superior growth performance one reported case, reduced mortality broilers. In present study, extruded corn ExPress were formulated combination conventional determine impact on male Extruded intake weight gain. containing outperformed all other combinations, including unprocessed, ground conventional, variations. had most efficient overall conversion ratio FCR lower observed ingredient reflected made this ideal formulation, out 4 diets examined, terms efficiency.

The digestibility of AA in dry extruded-expelled soybean meal (DESBM) and regular, solvent-extracted soybean meal (SBM) were determined in pigs and poultry. In the pig assay, 4 Cotswold barrows (average initial BW of 80.4 kg) fitted with a T-cannula at the distal ileum were allotted to 4 semipurified diets in a 4 x 4 Latin square design. Diet 1, a low protein diet (5% casein), was used to quant...

To study the effects of α-galactosidase (α-Gal) supplementation on performance and energy metabolism, 216 Arbor Acres male broilers were placed in 36 cages of 6 birds each and allotted to 4 diets for 42 d, with 0-21 d as starter period and 22-42 d as grower period. The 4 diets were based on corn non-dehulled soybean meal in a 2×2 factorial arrangement, with 2 levels of α-Gal (0 vs. 60 U/kg feed...

A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary α-amylase and β-xylanase supplementation of corn-soy diets, formulated with or without supplemental phytase, on growth performance, energy utilization, and starch digestibility in broiler chickens. A total of 336 slow-feathering, Cobb × Cobb 500 male broilers were randomly distributed to 6 treatments having 8 replicates of 7 birds each. B...

Twenty-four organic Fe sources were evaluated by polarographic analysis and via solubility in buffers (pH 5 and 2) and deionized water. Organic Fe sources included 6 Fe-Met complexes (Fe-Met), 10 Fe-Gly complexes, 1 Fe-Lys complex, 4 Fe proteinates, and 3 Fe-AA complexes (Fe-AA). Sources varied considerably in chemical characteristics. Chelation strengths (quotient of formation [Q] values) rang...

BACKGROUND: Exogenous phytase enhances the utilization of plant phytate phosphorus in poultry. OBJECTIVES: In the present study the effects of exogenous phytase was investigated on tibia bone characteristics of white quail. METHODS: In a 2x2 factorial arrangement, eighty, 11-day old unsexed chicks were randomly divided into 4 treatments of 20 replicates. All birds received one of four experimen...
